Matthew Cooney
Associate
Matthew joined Jones Hall as an Associate in 2025 and has practiced finance law since 2017. He serves as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, and underwriter’s counsel in public financing transactions.
Prior to joining Jones Hall, Matthew was an associate at a law firm in New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles, where he represented issuers, underwriters and asset managers in structured credit transactions.
In his free time, Matthew enjoys spending time outdoors and has recently started beekeeping.
