Sunset Performing Arts Center
Located in the downtown area of Carmel, the Sunset Center began as a public school in 1926 and has since been transformed into a state-of-the-art performing arts center with 718 seats, stunning gothic architecture and superb acoustics. The Story
Jones Hall acted as bond counsel to the City on the initial financing for the project in 2000, which was a cooperative effort between the City and various community groups. Following an initial bank loan financing to provide preliminary costs for project planning and development, the main financing was accomplished through the issuance of Certificates of Participation in 2001. Jones Hall also acted as bond counsel to the City in connection with the refunding of the 2001 COPs in 2010, which resulted in nearly $1 million of savings to the general fund of the City.
