Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE)
Property Assessed Clean Energy (“PACE”) provides voluntary, long-term assessment financing for distributed energy, energy efficiency, water efficiency, seismic strengthening improvements and electric vehicle charging infrastructure on privately-owned residential and non-residential property.
The Story
Jones Hall has invested significant resources in PACE since 2009:
- Jones Hall helped establish PACE programs for the City of Berkeley, the City and County of San Francisco, the County of Placer, the County of Santa Barbara, the California Statewide Communities Development Authority and California Municipal Finance Authority, among others.
- Jones Hall drafted State legislation to enable PACE.
- Jones Hall assisted organizations around the country to garner federal support for PACE.
- Jones Hall has been a pioneer in helping to facilitate tax-credit investor participation in PACE transactions.
