Project
Treasure Island
Treasure Island is in the process of a multi-year, $1.5 billion redevelopment plan that is designed to redevelop the island (and neighboring Yerba Buena Island) into a 465-acre community intended to eventually include approximately 8,000 residential units, 100,000 square feet of commercial space and 300 acres of parks and open space.
The Story
Jones Hall has been engaged to assist with a multi-faceted approach to finance the public infrastructure improvements needed to support the Treasure Island redevelopment plan using a combination of Mello-Roos special tax financing and Infrastructure and Revitalization Financing District tax-increment financing. The public infrastructure to be financed is currently anticipated to include seismic stabilization of the island, seawall improvements to address rising sea levels, and streets, water, sewer and storm drain improvements.
